Recruitment and Retention Officer - Near Heathrow

In Europe, National Express is the largest specialist coach operator who operate to over 1000 destinations and carry over 16 million customers a year. Serving the major UK airports with additional dedicated ‘on-airport’ coach and bus services National Express has established itself as a fast moving and profitable, entrepreneurial style business. Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen to join National Express as a Recruitment and Retention officer based at Heathrow with additional regional responsibility for the Gatwick, Stansted and Birmingham sites. This is a newly created role, which will communicate with senior people at National Express. It represents a fantastic opportunity to establish company wide resourcing and retention procedures.

Job Description:

The recruitment and retention officer will head up and develop recruitment and retention best practice and implement related policy in support of strategic HR goals.

Detailed duties will include:

* To provide dedicated recruitment, selection and retention services to local managers
* To design and deliver major recruitment campaigns
* To design and place exciting adverts
* To plan, communicate and deliver recruitment events
* To arrange and administer appropriate knowledge assessment tests
* To develop relationships with local job centres and external agencies
* To introduce effective retention and succession planning
* Carry out exit interviews

Candidate Specification:

The successful candidates will ideally be educated to degree level and CIPD qualified and although not essential an SHL testing qualification would be an advantage. A seasoned recruiter who can communicate effectively at all levels you will ideally have gained recruitment process experience from an in-house environment, although agency backgrounds will also be considered. Most importantly you will be a confident and innovative recruiter who is able to promote National Express and demonstrate a passion for recruiting skilled and dependable staff.
