Desired Skills: Must have: A. Minimum 3 years exp. with application dev., Object Oriented programming, JAVA, mainframe & midrange technologies, B. In-depth exp. in at least one leading application dev. language: JAVA, C++ or XML, & C. Exp. dev. portal applications. Additional exp. needed: Rich Internet Application Dev., Flash, Ajax, PHP, JAVA, C++, JavaScript, or Ruby programming, Portal Dev., Design & Programming of Client Solutions, Communication Skills, & Dev. Test Strategies & Plans. Use Application Dev. Methodologies & Tools, OO Programming, WebSphere Application Server or Weblogic, Manage Client Relationships, Issue Resolution, & Scripting in Virtual Environments. Preferred candidates will have at least 3 years exp. in application dev. & will have had developer responsibilities for at least 2 engagements in a consulting environment.

The candidate must live in the Chicago area & be available for up to 80-100% travel locally & throughout the U.S. Monday-Friday as needed. Travel is not necessarily every week. Will work on site in IBM office in Chicago.

Job Details: We are searching for an experienced Application Developer. In Application Innovation Services, the Application Developer (AD) is responsible for the successful delivery of application solutions to clients. The AD performs technical tasks including design, programming, building, testing and supporting complex applications solutions to meet client requirements. The AD also manages client relationships within the context of the technical development role.
