Web Production Artist

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for driving sales and enhancing the customer experience with Tauck via online channels by the creation and preparation for online art production including text graphics, video and related web site links. Additional responsibilities for this position include the assistance to design teams in graphic production for collateral, display and advertising projects.

POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production of graphics, designs and copy layouts for online content.
- Test, edit, maintain, document and control content, look and flow of company websites.
- Monitors and maintains daily production of website to include website design, promotions, advertisement banners and seasonal content
- Performs all web image creation and modifications.
- Monitors internal maintenance of CMS (Content Management System) software.
- Conducts testing across multiple browsers and platforms to insure the accessibility and message content is being delivered to the maximum number of end-users.
- Manages graphics and production requests and maintains web production schedules.
- Ensures consistent page layout and design formats are maintained throughout the website
- Ensures an appropriate balance exists between the quality of display and file transfer time for the most effective presentation
- Creates imaging that maintain a consistent messaging of engaging and enriching travel as is utilized in company brochures and other printed materials.
- Must perform other duties and responsibilities as required KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated excellencies in Internet Marketing, web site design database management and site maintenance
- Demonstrated proficiencies in design software (such as PhotoShop, Flash & Dreamweaver) file formatting and sizing graphics for print and web
- Proven knowledge and abilities to pre-flight, collect files and archive materials
- Working knowledge of Javascript, PHP,CSS, .NET scripting
- Proven knowledge of search engines and search engine optimization techniques
- Knowledgeable in understanding the differences between Internet browsers (i.e. Netscape, Internet Explorer for example) and code is interpreted by them as well as how to correct coding issues so that pages are displayed consistently between browsers
- Demonstrated competency in understanding standard concepts, practices and procedures as it relates to the web environment
- Excellent oral and written communications skills RESULTS/EXPECTATIONS:
- Accurate and timely preparation, production and monitoring of online artworks onto company web sites
- Continuous updating and maintenance of the Tauck and Bridges web site
- Continual monitoring of the web work completed by other members of the department, providing correctional advice as needed
- Work closely with a member of the IT department in updating and/or maintenance of the web
- Ensure that web images are not in violation of image use contracts in regards to rights managed photos that are used for presentation on the web
- Provides assistance to design teams in graphic displays as needed
- Must continuously meet/exceed assigned business goals KEY RELATIONSHIPS (more than 10% of the time)
