Job details: Company is looking for an experienced technologist to become a member of its North America technology team based in White Plains, NY. Responsibilities include supporting a high volume financial data product - isolating, diagnosing and fixing issues with the product. For the right candidate the position will expand to code development, testing, debugging, and writing documentation for various agile development projects.Requirements: § The ability to work with high profile clients. § Good communication skills with fluent English. § Calm troubleshooter, with strong diagnostic and analytical skills.§ The ability to create quick solutions and then turn them into reliable code.§ 4+ years Java/J2EE experience - Experience dealing with real-time, high volume production systems is essential.§ XML, XSL, XPath, XML Schema§ Messaging such as JMS, SOAP and Web services§ Unix/Linux and shell scripting and/or Perl§ Object and DB OR mapping framework such as Hibernate and iBatis§ 2+ years experience working with Oracle/SQL or comparable RDBMS with skills to create and maintain stored procedures, manage database objects and perform data optimization tasks as necessary. Experience in handling large data volumes is essential.Additional Useful Skills/Characteristics§ Financial Industry knowledge and professional experience is a plus.§ Experience working with real time Web UI.§ Open source tools such Ant, Maven, Log4j, Velocity.§ Application servers such as JBoss or Weglogic.§ Security, web service security, Struts/Spring/JSF
