Job details: SmartPak Equine is seeking a Web Content Director who will actively manage the success of converting visitor traffic to sales. This individual will manage the customer experience on the site with the goal of maximizing the rate of visitor conversion. Responsibilities include site navigation and usability, visual presentation, product merchandising, and transaction processing.

Specific responsibilities include:

? Ensure the day-to-day effectiveness of content presentation, navigation, and search functionality that provides best-of-class user experience.
? Collaborate with the Marketing Director to optimize the sites (Equine and Canine) for Natural Search.
? Provide on-going measurement and reporting of customer on-site behavior (utilizing CoreMetrics).
? Work closely with Merchandising and Creative to create compelling category gateways, feature products, and brand congruency across all channels.
? Integrate customer feedback and retail "best practices" into site functionality and presentation requirements.
? Consider the use of enhanced image techniques (zoom, alternate views, colorization, etc.).
? Develop advanced features (product selection wizards, filters, etc.) that assist customers with their purchase decisions.
? Continuously review page design for opportunities to improve site speed, ease of use, and work with the Informational Technology group to execute changes.
? Oversee a web designer and HTML developer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing the day-to-day execution of the development and design of a transactional retail website. This candidate will be adept at working with Creative and Merchandising on content presentation, while at the same time be conversant on the latest technological issues that impact the site experience. Familiarity with the Equine industry is a requirement.

Other Requirements:

? Proven record of converting online web traffic and the successful use of customer retention tactics.
? 3+ years of Ecommerce experience.
? Strong sense of online design and merchandise presentation.
? Desire to work in a team-based environment.
? Experience with web analytic tools and the metrics that monitor site performance.
? Aptitude to respond to changing market and technological conditions.
? Strong communication skills required.
