Job details: Job Requirements:
The candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Business, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in the Web-communications area. The candidate must have at least 3 years experience managing Web sites and Web communications projects. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, and knowledge of Web-based communication strategy, design, planning, and tactics. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to implement initiatives, provide direction to cross- functional teams and work across departmental lines with individuals at all levels of the organization to engage others, gain consensus, accomplish tasks, hold to the strategy and maintain the quality, consistency and integrity of the companys internal and external Web sites. The successful candidate must have a comfortable familiarity with the technical aspect of Web communications and be capable of engaging on an equal footing with IT specialists and Web developers. In addition, he/she must be able to manage numerous large, complex, multi-faceted Web-communications projects and have excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, research, track details, meet deadlines, meet project budgets, oversee the work and expenditures of vendors and consultants, prioritize workload, and develop strategies. The candidate must be comfortable working and presenting to all levels of management and executives. Typically possesses five or more years experience in organizational programs, contract management, or function being managed.

Preferences:
The preferred candidate will have a background in Web technology with some knowledge of content management systems, portals, and be proficient in JavaScript, HTML with some experience in Flash.

Typical Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Manager of Financial Communications and Related Services and will be responsible for:
1) developing and managing the execution of Web-based and other electronic communication strategies and campaigns resulting in dynamic, employee and stakeholder-focused, integrated communications that support company goals of communicating with investors and employees, enhancing the customer experience, streamlining traditional costs of doing business and strengthening the company's image in the eyes of multiple stakeholders.
2) Overseeing the day-to-day content management of the companys external Web site (Edison.com), including creating and preparing documents and images for the companys Web sites, managing technical aspects of Webcasts for Investor Relations, leading a matrixed, cross-functional team and/or individuals to assist as needed in the writing, editing and publishing subject matter on the companys Web sites, ensuring consistency and appropriate use of the companys brands on its Web sites, creating banner ads, responding to emails from employees and external individuals, and maintaining consistent quality of content. The project manager will be responsible for representing and communicating the companys online Web policies, ensuring consistent look and feel, as well as messages, interfacing with internal departments and business units, leveraging resources, ensuring buy-in of key stakeholder groups and striving to achieve consensus. The selected candidate will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of tactics, campaigns and initiatives, and reporting results to management.
