Job details: Concrete Games is a small video game development studio located just minutes from the beach in the city of Carlsbad in San Diego County, CA. We are a wholly owned division of THQ Inc., one of the top worldwide video game publishers. Concrete Games is currently creating next-generation console games and developing the new technology from the ground up. Doing so requires immense creativity and ingenuity and the desire to be a part of a challenging environment. The primary responsibility of the Sr. Tester is bug testing the current build of the game, newly added features, and to detect and record defects. There will be a number of additional responsibilities such as testing internal tools, rolling out new versions of the game, burning disks, assisting with various production tasks, etc.

The Sr. Tester will test software for ease of use, reliability, and consistency. Compile lists of defects or design issues found during testing. Prepare bug reports for product managers and engineers. The Sr. Tester will handle assignments that require regular use of independent judgment and must have the ability to work with in a team environment. Candidates must be highly organized, detail oriented, responsible and flexible.

Qualifications:

? 2 years experience as a tester, preferably in a Sr. / Lead position; past experience leading a test group is preferred.
? Experience should include working directly with the development team.
? Has a good understanding of the test cycle and processes.
? Experience using MS Developer tools, good all-around technical skills. Good understanding programming code and their relationship to bugs.
? Experience writing and using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, batch files, etc. is a significant plus.
? Experience with PC and consoles.
? Experience with the following software packages: MS.NET, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Adobe Photoshop. Maya experience a plus.
? Reliable transportation.
