Shiny Entertainment is looking for Animation Programmer

Job details: Animation Programmer Job Function/Purpose:
This position will function in a team-oriented environment and will be responsible for the design and development of software systems in accordance with provided requirements and objectives. This position must be aware of and follow current coding standards, create readable re-usable code, and coordinate coding efforts with other team members. Work in PC and console environments.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Improve character system, in areas such as IK, headtracking, weapon interaction, background interaction, and animation script language
Updating physics engine integration in engine and world tool
Implementing a vehicle physics system
Re-implementing ragdolls
Developing a schedule which includes time estimates for tasks and provides a plan for implementation.
Debugging & firefighting as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Strong teamwork and communication skills
8 years programming experience (of which 5 years must be in game programming).
Must have completed at least 3 shipped games.
Must have written animation or physics code for at least 1 shipped game.
Strong math background
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, readable code.
Experience with MFC a plus
xperience with commercial physics engines a plus
Strong debugging skills and knowledge of debugging methodologies.
All-around experience with computer game technologies including AI programming, rendering, character animation, physics, and collision detection a plus
College-level degree in Computer Programming and/or equivalent training, course work or practical experience a plus.
