Sony PlayStation®: Lead Platform Libraries Support Engineer
San Diego, California

Responsibilities:

- Supports every aspect of the development, building, testing and dissemination of the Platform libraries.

- Becomes an expert in all our libraries, their uses and issues.

- Develops example code that demonstrates and shows off the features of our libraries.

- Develops test code to verify the correct functioning of our libraries.

- Provides support for our libraries for game teams, QA and other interested parties.

- Works with the development and QA teams to create complete and working product release packages.

- Finds and documents defects in our libraries and related products.

- Assists with, and helps validate, QA and development tools.

Skills:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.

- Proficiency with Visual Studio-based platforms such as C++ or C#, make, scripting tools such as PERL or Python, XML/XSLT, packaging tools such as InstallShield, and automation tools.

- Knowledge of software engineering and debugging practices.

Experience:

- Experience in designing, testing or supporting APIs.

- Experience with source code control systems such as Perforce, and development branching methodologies.

- Experience with automated build processes, build machines and third party build systems.
