Job details: Sr. Tools Engineer Emergent Game Technologies is seeking a creative, talented and experienced senior software engineer to design and help implement state of the art, flexible and modular game development tools that will change the face of the game development industry.

Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for designing, building, testing and documenting software tools for next-generation consoles and PCs for use in conjunction with Emergents industry-leading Gamebryo product. Experience with multiple game development tools is required, along with strong C++ and communication skills.

Qualifications
At least 7 years professional programming experience, with at least 5 in C++
Extensive knowledge of the game development process and pipeline tools
Solid knowledge of 3D graphics
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with and support various team members, including other engineers, artists, and designers
Strong professional work ethic and ability to work as part of a geographically distributed team
BSCS or equivalent

Valued
Prior experience leading teams
Experience using and/or extending 3ds max, Maya, and/or XSI.
Experience designing and building custom game development tools
MMO development experience
Previous console development experience (PS3, Xbox360, PS2, Xbox)
