General programmer responsibilies and requirements listed below...

Responsibilities:

Develop C++ and/or micro-code as assigned and scheduled by the Lead Programmer including the following aspects of code development:
o Architect
o Implement
o Debug
o Document
o Maintain
Work with proprietary existing software technology, and build new technology, to fulfill the projects technical requirements.
Adhere to the projects coding standards (e.g. commit process, version control, documentation, etc.).
Ensure that code is clean, easy to use, free of bugs, and reliable in the game.
Ensure that the code is efficient (CPU, memory), as required by the projects technical requirements.
Ensure that assets are stored and processed optimally.
Keep current with technological developments and advancements in the game industry.
Identify technical and developmental risks and obstacles, and generate solutions.

Requirements:

Passion for playing and developing games.
Proven ability to architect, program, and optimize object-oriented C++.
Technical experience with the PC, PS2/PS3, Xbox/X360, and/or Gamecube.
Experience in building new software technology and/or tools.
Experience as a Game Programmer is preferred.

Skills:

Mathematics (particularly linear algebra, trig and vectors).
Deep understanding of one or more of the following: physics, 3D graphics/rendering, audio (particularly real-time streaming, DSP, and midi), game logic, AI, cameras, networking, creature animation, and game tools.
Ability to write or aptitude to learn micro-code is preferred.
Willing and able to work closely with Game Designer and Artists.
Creative agility.
