Day 1 Studios is looking for Network Software Engineer

Job details: Network Software Engineer This candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the network architecture for next generation games. This candidate will work within our core technology team to architect our new game engine to support action oriented game play on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

What YOU Need to Succeed:

- Network programming support experience on at least one shipped title
- Solid understanding of UDP and TCP/IP
- Experience with the Xbox Live /Gamespy APIs a plus
- An in-depth understanding of client/server multi-player architecture
- Experience with network latency solutions and packet compression
- Intimate knowledge of contemporary competitive and cooperative multiplayer gaming
- Deep knowledge of C++ and STL
- Solid math background
- Ability to write robust, maintainable code
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering preferred
- Excellent communications skills
- A strong desire to create world-class games
