Job details: Lead Programmer We are currently looking for a full time Lead Programmer.

We are seeking sharp, ambitious talent to join our team to work on our next generation MMOs. Are you not challenged enough at your current job? Everything we do here is challenging - giant worlds, lots of content, complicated rules and systems. Do you wonder if you'd be happier making games than whatever you're doing now? While we'd prefer you be a master game programmer, some of our best hires have been people from outside the games industry with a passion to make something really cool!

As we build next generation games using internal technology, we need a Lead Programmer to manage and mentor the game team. The Lead Programmer will be expected to follow the technical direction of the Development Director of Programming and help mentor other programmers.

Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day management of the programming team, including the planning and scheduling of workloads
Ensure good communication between programmers and other members of the team
Help identify areas of risk and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Work with Design and Art Leads to create a technical design and milestone deliverables for the team.
Provide direct leadership for a group of 5+ software engineers.
Develop architecture and design software systems for the project.

Skills:
Extensive experience with C programming
Proven ability to architect high-level complex software systems.
Strong CS background: data-driven design, abstraction, algorithm design, optimization, systems, etc.
Excellent leadership skills and mentoring capability.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements:
Must have successfully shipped at least 1 product as a lead programmer.
