Position covers administration of a large Storage Area Network (SAN) comprised of enterprise and mid-tier storage arrays serving a heterogeneous server environment of Unix and Windows within geographically disperse environment. Extensive, hands-on experience in managing different storage technologies from EMC, Veritas, Brocade and other storage vendors. Provide Tier 3 support to Storage, Backup and Restore issues.

Your skills and experience should include: * B.S. * Experience administering enterprise & mid-tier storage subsystems (EMC DMX & ClariiON) and understanding of concepts such as split-mirror, snapshot backups and remote storage replication * Storage networking fundamentals, concepts, and components, including storage subsystems, SCSI, Fibre Channel, switches, iSCSI, HBAs, virtualization, zoning, LUN masking, LVM , etc. * Experience administering enterprise backup and recovery software (Veritas Netbackup 5.1) * Strong understanding of how the SAN is affecting enterprise Backup solutions * Proficient understanding of Oracle and UNIX as it relates to Storage, Backup and restore technology

Your responsibilities will include: - support responsibility for distributed SAN and Backup environment across many states, using Veritas,EMC and other technologies. - understand complex combinations of various storage technologies and OS. - design, implement and maintain solutions - maintain and troubleshoot the SAN and Backup infrastructure * maintaining storage hardware and software, including storage subsystems, switches, cabling, etc. * provisioning storage for use by UNIX/Windows servers * ensuring optimal performance of storage subsystems * providing Tier III support * developing and maintaining documentation related to SAN configuration and storage provisioning * developing reports to indicate storage performance, capacity, usage, cost, etc.
