Job details: Network Programmers (MMOG) Experience:
3 years+ experience in the games industry
Shipped at least 1 high-profile console title
Direct responsibility for online console performance and functionality
Familiar with technical requirements certification process for online titles
Excellent C++ skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent OO design skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills (must deal with non-programmers)
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP network protocols
Experience with Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer network architectures
Extremely familiar in dealing with network-related problems (firewall issues, master-server, CD-Key authentication)
Good knowledge of encryption, compression and lag-avoidance techniques
Takes initiative and is willing to continually learn and improve relevant skills
Passion for making great games
Ability to contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development
Willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks

Pluses:
Has used UML or some similar modeling approach in the past
STL experience
Experience with Xbox-Live
Experience with external matchmaking systems (GameSpy, etc)
Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Lua)
Experience with multithreading
Experience with making multiplayer games
Experience with multiplatform development
Experience providing mentorship to other programmers
Experience writing technical documentation
Large scale of distributed server technology
Unix/Linux systems programming experience
MMORG systems experience

Duties:
Report to Lead Programmer
Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards
Document source code
Continue to enhance programming and communications skills
Directly responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
Perform any other duties as assigned by manager with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties
The safeguarding of the companys assets including source code, art work, tools, technical know-how
Provide input to department project status meetings
