Planet Moon Studios, a leading developer of original videogames (MDK, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Armed & Dangerous , Infected ) since 1997, is seeking a Junior Game Programmer for a new unannounced , PSP-exclusive game. We are located in San Francisco, California and will consider relocating the right candidate. The junior programmer will be working on the following in-game areas appropriate to his or her background. The successful candidate will have experience in some of these areas (not all are required). Please detail which areas are included in your expertise and your past experiences with these areas in your cover letter:

User Interface design and implementation
Mid-level 2D/3D Rendering
Event Based Dispatching
Working with physically based simulations
Integration of audio and visual FX systems
Tool development

The job requirements are:

Previous work experience in the games industry
Familiarity with basic rendering concepts
Practical understanding of linear algebra
Programming experience in C and C++ including good software design skills (OOD/OOP)
Willingness to work with and adapt a preexisting code base
Ability to engineer solutions to meet design needs as closely as possible
Flexibility in task assignment (it is essential that you are disinclined to complain thats not my job!)
Ability to work well under deadlines
Willingness to work additional hours when necessary
Good communication skills

Plusses:

Current console experience (PSP a double plus)
Experience with Havok
Multiplayer engineering experience
Recently shipped product

Education:

Strong mathematics and Computer science background
Bachelors in C.S. or Bachelors-equivalent preferred
