Job details: Full-time Faculty Position in the Visual & Game Programming Department

The Art Institute of Portland is accepting resumes for a full-time instructor in the Visual & Game Programming Department.

Qualifications for the full-time positions include ability to assist in departmental administrative activities, including student advising; be willing to participate in school functions such as committee meetings, workshops, open houses, and departmental meetings; be self-motivated and articulate with a professional demeanor; be able to handle multiple tasks with deadlines; have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with demonstrated ability and a willingness to work in a team environment.

Qualified candidates should have 3 or more years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: C++ programming, game production work, Maya/Mel scripting, and game prototyping. Level design knowledge, artificial intelligence, Flash/Actionscript, Photoshop along with expertise in game engines such as Unreal and Steam are also highly desired. Candidates must have a Masters degree, possess relevant teaching experience, and significant experience in the game industry.
