Sony Computer Entertainment Santa Monica is seeking a strong Senior Programmer to join our talented team behind the critically acclaimed AAA title "God of War" to work on our new and exciting titles.

We recognize that different people have different strengths and we are not looking to fill a narrowly defined position. Instead, for qualified applicants we try to define the position to his or her strengths, where possible. If you feel you are uniquely qualified as a game play, physics, tools and technology, lead, or some other category of programmer, we are interested in seeing your resume to see if we can shape our senior programmer position to your skills. Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, maintain, improve, test, and debug game systems according to schedule.
* Work with QA staff to identify and fix bugs in a timely manner.
* As needed work on tools, technology, and game-specific systems to support specific project requirements.
* Self-manage tasks within scheduled blocks of time.

Qualifications:
* B.Sc. degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
* Minimum eight years programming experience.
* Four or more years of professional software development experience
(games preferred, but not a necessity).
* Skilled in modern algorithms and data structures.
* Strong math skills including linear algebra and calculus.
* Expertise in C and C++ (5+ years experience) and skilled in one or
more low-level assembly languages.
* Self-motivated, with excellent communication and problem solving
skills.
* Experience with leading or scheduling a team considered a plus.
