Job details: Sony PlayStation: Sr. Programmer/Game play - Basketball Responsibilities:

* Will be responsible for the development of game logic, character
behaviors, state based animations selection, motion systems, scripted
mini-games, and other general game play features.
* Candidate must be familiar with techniques for intelligent selection
and control of character animations while maintaining realistic human
movement and smooth transitions between animation states.
* Requires closely working with character animators to define animation
requirements and tune motions in game.
* Candidate reports to the lead game player programmer.
* Requires experience in planning, scheduling, and working
cooperatively with a team of other programmers.

Qualifications:

* B.S. degree in computer science, math, physics, etc., or equivalent
experience.
* Strong C++ skills.
* Solid 3D math skills.
* Worked on two or more game titles, preferably at least one that
shipped.
* Experience with game state machines, motion systems, AI, collision
and avoidance systems, character animation, physics, scripting
languages on a console or PC.
* Familiarity with basketball is a plus.
