| subject: WII Engine Programmer , Shiny Entertainment Shiny Entertainment is looking for WII Engine Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: WII Engine Programmer WII ENGINE PROGRAMMER Job Function/Purpose: This position will function in a team-oriented environment and will be responsible for the design and development of software systems in accordance with provided requirements and objectives. This position must be aware of and follow current coding standards, create readable re-usable code, and coordinate coding efforts with other team members. Work in PC and console environments. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Converting existing code base to run on WII. Specific requirements include rendering, disk management, memory management * Optimizing WII rendering pipeline * Developing and documenting top-level software designs which define specific software tasks. * Expanding the feature set of the engine, to match game design requirements. * Developing a schedule which includes time estimates for tasks and provides a plan for implementation. * Debugging & "firefighting" as needed Minimum Qualifications: * 6 years programming experience (of which 4 years must be in game programming). * Must have completed at least 3 shipped games. * Must have worked on rendering code for at least 1 shipped game. * Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, readable code. * Good knowledge of programming algorithms. * Strong debugging skills and knowledge of debugging methodologies. * All-around experience with computer game technologies including AI programming, physics, 3D programming, pipeline technology, UI, and collision detection. * Must have assembly programming experience. * College-level degree in Computer Programming and/or equivalent training, course work or practical experience a plus.
