INFORMATION SYSTEMS Job Description: Under the direction of the Web Administrator, the Web Programmer will write and maintain the web-based applications for the Institute's websites. Job Responsibilities: 1. Create modules for a CMS, writing web applications from scratch, and debugging existing applications. 2. Create the interface, architecture, and navigation for web applications so that they are usable and understandable by users. 3. Create n-tiered applications from start to finish. 4. May assist in maintaining the web server, answering/providing support for users via e-mails, and training users in using the web applications they build as assigned. 5. Interact and communicate with internal clients in gathering requirements and understanding needs. Qualification Requirements: Must have 3+ years experience with either PHP, ASP, ASP.net, or PERL. Must have 3+ years experience with either MS-SQL, MySQL, or Oracle. Must have 3+ years experience writing HTML/JavaScript and CSS as an editor. Would prefer experience with the graphic programs Photoshop, Fireworks, or Gimp. Would prefer to have experience with the media applications Flash, Director or LiveMotion.
