| subject: Web Developer & Designer , Massachusetts Hospital Association Massachusetts Hospital Association is looking for Web Developer & Designer duration - Indefinite Job details: Massachusetts Hospital Association Advancing Excellence in Healthcare www.mhalink.org Web Developer and Designer Location: Burlington Office (Headquarters) Description Responsible for leading the development and maintenance of the online communications presence that promotes the Massachusetts Hospital Association to internal and external audiences. He/she will have ownership of the intranet and internet presence for MHA. Responsible for both graphic design and web development and will work closely with internal staff to gather and organize content, manage and resolve issues, and provide training and support. Must be a strong independent project manager with experience managing electronic communications projects, formulating effective designs as well as code, and pairing dynamic visual design with the necessary online tools. Responsibilities: Lead development and execution of web strategies, including the design of visual communications and web applications. Program web pages and web applications, from initial design consultation through testing and quality assurance. Take responsibility for marketing the MHA website and MHAlink to members and others. Administer passwords and all usage of the website. Measure efforts to increase website usage, analyze data for effectiveness and volume. Stay aware of industry trends and applicable technologies including authoring tools, graphic design tools, and new languages. Take a leadership role in promoting use of new technologies as a method of communication and as a revenue producing source for the association. Participate in professional development activities through attendance at association and educational meetings and programs, review of professional literature and other related activities. Knowledge and Skills: 3-5 years of relevant experience. Certificate or training as a webmaster or related preferred. Education and/or training equivalent to a Bachelors's degree in computer science, information technology or related. Expert-level skills with web publishing and graphics software. Solid knowledge and skills with HTML, MS Word, Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer and other web software, JavaScript, FTP, Telnet, Cold Fusion preferable, TCP/IP Web, Database Applications and CGI. A basic understanding of Windows NT, Servers, Internet Commerce and Shell Scripting. Ability to communicate in writing, edit copy, graphic design, visual layout and logic. Competitive Pay.
