With an impressive client list and a track record of success spanning more than thirty years, we now seek to recruit a Web Developer to join our Essex-based team initially on a nine month contract. Working within a creative team environment, the successful candidate will be required to work with a small team of developers to develop and support web based projects for our clients. In addition, you will also advise and liaise between the creative and technical team members on all aspects of product development and enhancements, regularly reporting on work in progress. The Web Developer role involves development and support of existing systems, and development of new data driven web sites, using ASP.NET (C#) and SQL2000. Some maintenance of existing applications and FTP sites will also be required. The successful candidate must have an aptitude for learning new products and programming languages and integrating them into daily working processes. You should also be used to working to tight project deadlines. An understanding of, and proven competency in ASP.Net, C# and SQL2000 is required with the ability and desire to develop these skills further. In addition, you should have exposure to VB.Net, XML, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Microsoft Access and Excel. You should possess a proactive approach to application development, be a self-starter with a desire to succeed in a commercial environment. Essential interests include software and hardware technologies, whilst automotive is advantageous. This role requires some overtime, sometimes at short notice, to meet client deadlines.
