| subject: Web Content Manager , is looking for Web Content Manager duration - Full Time Job details: Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Communications- Institutional Advancement, the Web Content Manager will oversee all web related communication strategies. The incumbent will work, write, edit and manage web projects including Alumni and Friends sitelet, Alumni Portal and e-Digest, among others that arise. Responsibilities: ? Manage and write content for Alumni and Development sites within the University's website; build and monitor content visuals, track statistics, increase traffic, research best practices, identify immediate and long-term needs and develop strategic initiatives to grow the sites based on current trends. ? Direct the creation of and manage the alumni online community including soliciting and monitoring class notes, posting event registration, administering chats/ message boards/ blogs, and posting new data. ? Write, edit, layout, post and disseminate monthly e-Digest newsletter, site upgrades and populate interactive calendar. ? Build Photo Library and make visual resources available to other departments as necessary. Qualifications: ? Minimum of BA in Communications or related field of study. ? Ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of Web design and coding/programming, and at least two years of Web writing and posting experience; 5-7 years experience preferred. ? Must have demonstrated ability managing multiple responsibilities in a high volume, deadline-driven environment. ? Knowledge of Web design, HTML, JavaScript and familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Quark and Flash on both Mac and PC platforms is necessary. ? Initiative and creativity are essential, along with strong problem solving skills and the ability to negotiate with and motivate others. Salary: This position is a grade O. The salary range is between $38,100., minimum, $50,000., midpoint, and $63,900., maximum annually commensurate with your qualifications and experience and contingent upon the departmental budget.
