We deliver a new generation of advanced and innovative enterprise and e-business application delivery and infrastructure management services We now have a superb opportunity for an experienced UNIX Systems Engineer to join us. New projects, constant growth and change will ensure variety in this role, with client contact a key aspect of our business. We manage a large number of systems on behalf of clients and are looking for an experienced UNIX Engineer (down to kernel tuning level) who will be responsible, with others in the team for the smooth running of all of the systems in our Datacentre as well as building new ones, installation, configuration and 3rd. line customer support. For the right individual there is also the opportunity to get involved in client work such as assisting with client bids/technical specifications and other pre-sales activities. Apart from being a UNIX Specialist (as mentioned above) you should have experience of: MTAs such as Sendmail and delivery mechanisms such as DNS/Bind, Apache, PHP, MySQL, Tomcat. Experience of Sun SPARC hardware maintenance and architecture and/or ORACLE database would also be useful. Suitable candidates should have excellent communication skills with commitment to providing first class customer service.
