| Two Graduate Network Engineers Location: North West London . We are looking for TWO computer science or computer engineering graduates, preferably with a post graduate qualification, who wish to pursue careers as network engineers. Your role will involve maintenance of the IT network and dealing with customer queries. An interest in VOIP and mobile computing would be an advantage. The role will require some travel to our hosting facilities in East London. Key Tasks Work in a small team to help support the server network Provide a shared, on-call 24/7 response to maintaining the network Support the ADSL service Provide technical support to customers Support our VOIP and telephony development Maintain the company’s internal network and support internal network users Skills Unix, preferably Linux – installation, general system administration. Some exposure to networking infrastructure and protocols. An understanding of routers Unix mail systems Windows 9x/2k/XP network clients – installation, administration. Basic programming skills would be an advantage: PHP, Java, Unix shell scripting Approach The role will suit somebody that is adaptable and comfortable working in a small team.
