| subject: Tools Programmer , The Collective The Collective is looking for Tools Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Tools Programmer Job Summary: We are looking for a strong tools programmer capable of spearheading the integration of a GUI-based game script node-graph component into our toolset. This tools programmer will work directly with our game programmers to create a toolset that will allow for level designers to build game play with less reliance upon game programmers. As a tools programmer at The Collective you will work on cutting edge technology with a team of tools programmers that all have the same desire to create the best tools in the industry. The ideal candidate would have experience working in large cutting-edge tool technology systems and the ability to design, plan and program complex tool components. The candidate must also exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of understanding towards game tool production and an adaptability to meet the needs of multiple projects utilizing common tools technology. Job Responsibilities: Research into cutting-edge tool chain systems and processes to improve production workflow. Programming of core tool systems to required coding standards. Working with Technology Programmers, Technical Directors, Development Directors, QA Testers and game project production staff. Development of technical design specification, implementation and test plans. Testing, debugging and revision of new or legacy tool systems. Contributing innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development.
