| subject: Tools Programmer , Relic Entertainment Relic Entertainment is looking for Tools Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Tools Programmer Summary: Relic is looking for Tools Programmers to join our Tools Team. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills and is capable of working with a team of programmers in the design and implementation of a powerful suite of tools for all disciplines, including art, design, programming and production. Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the content pipeline and tools for multiple projects Actively find and exploit opportunities to increase the overall effectiveness of the development teams by working closely with them Make recommendations for content pipeline and tools development Support content pipeline and tools users Maintain tools for performance, stability and error-free operation Requirements: An interest in working on content pipeline and tools for Next Gen games Experience shipping at least one product as a programmer Good understanding of C++ Experience with content authoring tools (ex: 3D Studio Max, Maya) Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Win32 Strong mathematics skills (trigonometry, geometry and linear algebra) Strong communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Good understanding of game content pipeline and tools Assets: Formal engineering degree Experience using SQL databases design and usage Experience with C# Experience in the game industry Knowledge of XML, Collada Perl, Python, or other interpreted languages Detailed knowledge of 3D graphics, animation, camera control and lighting UI design experience Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Contact info: Contact: Tara Kemes, Recruiter, at: tkemes@relic.com Instructions: Please apply with cover letter, resume, and online portfolio/demo if applicable.
