Position Summary:
Adobe seeks an experienced writer with a strong technical background to develop Web Services API, SDK, and additional developer documentation. Primary responsibilities include writing and documenting ActionScript samples for Flash Media Server developers, and writing XML API documentation that allows developers to integrate systems.
Responsibilities:
• Write an XML API guide, Flash Media Server developer's guide, and Client-side ActionScript language reference documentation.
• Write Java and ActionScript code samples or update examples provided by engineers
• Analyze specification documents; conduct interviews with engineers and subject matter experts to gather data that support the content strategy
• Adhere to style guidelines
• Create diagrams, checklists, decision trees, and flow charts to present information visually
Key Skills:
• Strong background in Internet and server technologies in enterprise environments
• Ability to write code samples that rely on Java, ActionScript, and XML
• Excellent written communication skills; ability to write concisely
• Ability to communicate complex information to a developer audience
• Responsive to technical review feedback and QE testing
• Can handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment
Tools:
• FrameMaker, Dreamweaver or Contribute, graphics tools to create simple mock-ups of art, Acrobat, Microsoft Office applications
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in technical writing, computer science, or a related field. Graduate degree a plus.
