| subject: Sr. Software Engineer (Game Systems) , Monolith Production Monolith Production is looking for Sr. Software Engineer (Game Systems) duration - Full Time Job details: Sr. Software Engineer (Game Systems) Join the award winning group responsible for the Condemned: Criminal Origins, F.E.A.R., TRON 2.0, and No One Lives Forever game franchises. Work closely with engineers, designers, and artists on the creation of multiplayer game systems for a cutting-edge first-person action game on PS3 and XBox 360. _Responsibilities Develop game systems for a AAA next-generation console title with a focus on multi-player game-play systems. Some of the systems may include: Game-play modes (e.g., DM, CTF, etc.) Team management, stats and scoring User voting and penalty systems Spectator mode Multiplayer user-interface Client-side data replication and simulation Optimization of game system bandwidth Game-side cheat prevention Integration of 3rd-party libraries (e.g., GameSpy) Multiplayer related XBox Live TCR and PS3 TRC compliance Work closely with our Core Technology Team's Senior Multiplayer Engineer to ensure our game systems to take full advantage of our multiplayer technology. _Qualifications 5+ years of professional C/C++ programming Experience developing game-play systems for a published game Ability to collaborate with engineers and content creators to develop robust and fun game-play systems Ability to openly discuss and review technical proposals, requirements, designs, algorithms, source code, and reference documents with engineers, content creators and managers Ability to easily communicate technical topics with both engineers and non-technical people alike Creative, focused, results-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver with excellent debugging and strong communications skills Strong desire to build industry-leading multiplayer game systems Ability to work well in a team development environment _Preferred Experience Designed and implemented major multiplayer game systems for a published game XBox Live and/or PlayStation 2 multiplayer experience XBox 360 and/or PS3 development experience GameSpy.net technology development experience Microsoft Visual C++/.NET development environment B.S. in Computer Science Apply at: http://www.lith.com/jobs.asp?j=eng1 Location: Kirlkand, WA, United States Contact info: http://www.lith.com/jobs.asp?j=eng1 |
