The position comprises codec algorithms design and implementation as well as optimization of encoder on CELL platform. Responsibilities: A successful candidate will have strong skills/experiences in several of the following areas: * Digital Signal Processing Algorithms Design and Development. * Embedded systems development. * MPEG4 and AVC codecs development. * Algorithms and SIMD Optimization. * Candidate should have either an MSEE/MSCS degree with a minimum of 10 years experience; or a PhD in EE/CS with at least 7 years of experience. * At least 4 years of significant development experiences on video encoder and decoder are a MUST. * Knowledge and experience with MPEG/AVC system layer is highly desirable. * Candidate is expected to demonstrate self-motivation, and capabilities to undertake challenges in a fast paced environment. Skills: * Strong people skills the ability to work with various groups of different skill sets ranging from business to technical and facilitate communication between them. * The ability to follow processes and meet objectives to accomplish goals. * Strong video encoder/decoder development experiences as well as strong software engineering skills (C/C++, SIMD optimization) are required. * The ability to understand project objectives and translate them into detailed tasks to be executed on. * The ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
