(SCEA) is looking for Sony PlayStation: Senior Graphics Software Engineer duration - Full Time Job details: Sony PlayStation: Senior Graphics Software Engineer Responsibilities: Support internal and external customers, specifically in the US region by: * Understanding customer requests. * Explaining features and development status. * Clarifying development roadmap. * Setting up local development environment. * Supporting debugging and issue tracking. * Design, code, test, review software components of the Graphics API including samples and tools for the next generation PlayStation. * Software development duties may include shader and effect run-time, sample code, asset import and tools. * Candidate is required to understand and handle plug-in software, for example for Maya, 3D Max or Softimage. * Other required skills include software vectorization multi-threading and parallelism. * The work will be conducted on various platforms including Windows, Linux, PlayStation and prototypes. * Excellent skills in communication are required, as well as ability to handle standard office productivity tools. * Position has a high travel requirement up to 50% of the time. * Other required technical skills include Cg, C, C++, and knowledge of software configuration management. Skills: * Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in technical discipline (CS, EE, ME) and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. * Easy integration to a small team, communication skills are very important. * Familiar with software engineering process, source control. * Good knowledge of 3D Graphics, Computer Science, and software engineering. * Design, review, implement, maintain.
