(SCEA) is looking for Sony PlayStation: Quality Assurance Tester duration - Full Time Job details: Sony PlayStation: Quality Assurance Tester We are seeking a QA Tester to execute test plans on pre-release versions of software. Measure and detects program defects on Games under test. Assess the quality standards of all games. Assist and contribute to various tasks with the maintaining, and support of all game test projects. May execute test plans on public beta release versions of software. May execute test plans on Pre-Tech versions of software. May have basic knowledge of Networking Principles. May have knowledge of online specific gameplay elements. Responsibilities: * Tests software for ease of use, reliability, consistency and absence of program defects. * Compiles lists of any defects or design issues found during testing. * Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the Quality Assurance vocation. * May lead software through Format QA by overseeing execution of comprehensive test plan to ensure complete and total test coverage via time management and report composition. Skills: * BS/BA degree required or equivalent. * An understanding and awareness of current and future developments with quality assurance vocation; SCEA Platform goals, SCEA Platform plans, SCEA Platform Mission Statement (A PlayStation in Every Room), Competitor Goals, Competitor Plans. And Competitor Mission Statement. * The ability to follow project directives and execute required tasks in a team environment paying close attention to accomplishing objective; Ad Hoc testing, Test procedure implementation, Test environment optimization, Time effective cross sampling, and Departmental Resource Management. * Maintain proficiency and understanding in specific technical field, SCEA Platform Hardware variations and applications, Console revisions, Controllers, Memory Cards, miscellaneous USB/Fire Wire peripherals, Keyboards, Mice, Cameras, Modems, Ethernet Devices, Memory Card editors, and possibly Network Adaptors. * The ability to execute processes to accomplish goals and tasks; Use test plans, use & generate checklists, perform with consistency. * Strong people skills; communicative (written and verbal), motivated, supportive, and team spirited.
