This role involves co-ordinating, guiding and executing a European engineering road map, customising, localising and deploying products and assisting in leading the European technical strategy. The successful candidate will have excellent experience as a software designer/developer and have extensive experience working in a Unix environment. You will have a good understanding of software engineering practices (e.g release management, configuration management, and project planning). You will have good experience of C/C++, HTTP, Shell scripting, PHP or Perl, Apache and of working in object oriented, web based systems. The successful candidate will have ideally have experience of development and localisation on an e-commerce platform. You will ideally have experience managing 1 or 2 people, preferably in a matrix environment. There are excellent opportunities for career progression.
