| subject: Software Engineer #121282 , The McIntyre Group The McIntyre Group is looking for Software Engineer #121282 duration - Full-Time Job details: Summary Software Engineer is responsible for accurately and cost-effectively developing complex and sometimes customized driver and software tools for point of sale, banking and gaming printer products. This includes participating in the design and development of software features, architecture as well as debugging and resolving compatibility issues with various operating systems. The Software Engineer will write code, complete programming, testing and debugging of software systems and ensure integration of hardware and software. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science with a minimum of three years programming experience in Windows and Linux environments including kernel mode - Hands on experience with Windows 2003, Windows 2000 device drivers using Microsoft DDK - Thorough knowledge of C and C++ programming languages for low level and high level programming tasks - Solid working knowledge of the IBM PC platform, Microsoft's operating systems and the Microsoft platform API - Working experience with Ethernet, USB and networking protocols - Excellent communication, project management, organizational and planning skills - Must be able to work both in a team environment and independently - Desired - Experience with HTML, Java, OPOS, MacOS - Working knowledge of test tools, logic analyzers, kernel debugger - Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic Location: Hamden, Connecticut, email - hlf@themcintyregroup.com |
