| subject: Senior Programmer , Sony Online Entertainment Sony Online Entertainment is looking for Senior Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Programmer Sony Online Entertainment Senior Programmer Department: Development Sony Online is looking for an experienced Senior Programmer to join its PSP development group. SOEs PSP division is dedicated to creating innovative and successful IPs for the platform. We have already developed the successful Untold Legends Action RPG franchise and the highly anticipated turn based strategy game Field Commander. We are currently looking for a highly motivated and effective individual who wants to be part of a team creating fresh intellectual property for an action-arcade style game for the PSP. Primary Responsibilities (in 1 or more of the following 3 areas): Engine Technology Rendering, collision detection, physics, scene management, algorithmic and low-level optimization Tools Development Command-line and GUI-based (WIN32/MFC) tools development, workflow/pipeline optimization, Maya plug-ins (C++ and MEL) Game Systems Game mechanics, animation controllers, AI, pathfinding, vehicle physics, weapons, UI Requirements: Experience with 3D graphics, user-interface programming, and/or tools programming. Years of hands-on experience with the basic tools of the trade: Visual Studio, C++, OO-design, Maya, etc. Comfortable working in a large, fast-paced production environment Ability to work under stringent deadlines and meet timeline goals. Strong background in trigonometry, linear algebra, calculus, computational geometry, and knowledge of algorithms. Experience: Four years of relevant experience in the video game industry A deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design and code portability.
