| subject: Senior Producer, Web/Games , Walt Disney Internet Group Walt Disney Internet Group is looking for Senior Producer, Web/Games duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Producer, Web/Games DISNEY ONLINE: Senior Producer, Web/Games The Disney Online Premium Products team creates, markets, and operates a variety of products that seek to provide relevant, engaging and creative premium online content to our guests. Part of that strategy includes Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Games based on some of the worlds biggest brands. We are looking for a Senior Producer to lead the development and maintenance of our game products including MMO and downloadable Games. These currently include Toontown, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, and other unannounced properties. The Senior Producer is responsible for planning, scheduling, asset sourcing, and budgeting. This person will be the center of a new project team concentrating on building new projects based on Walt Disney Company franchises and is responsible for optimizing existing products. Tasks include the organizing and stimulating the creative process, tracking and coordinating the teams projects, ensuring deliverables are met in a timely manner, and reporting progress to management. This person will also oversee all quality assurance testing and live content deployment. This position is central to the successful ongoing operation of these products and to maintaining the high entertainment standards inline with the quality of all Walt Disney Corporation products and creates fun and outstanding Guest experiences. Skills needed include exceptional attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to changing business needs/timelines and completing quality projects on time. Past experience producing successful games on PC and Consoles, online gaming, storytelling, and kids content is essential. Also, experience with MMO games, online communities, knowledge of emerging Internet technologies (i.e. rich media, streaming, etc.) and strong communication skills a plus The Senior Producers role is to continue to grow these new product initiatives into a successful and thriving online business! Our ideal candidate possesses the experience and ability to define, manage, and launch game projects. This individual will demonstrate a proven track-record of delivering high-quality digital products on tight timelines. They must have experience in managing and tracking production budgets. Furthermore, our ideal candidate will be a forward-looking individual who has their finger on the pulse of technology, and the ability to identify emerging trends and business opportunities. We require a senior-level producer with at least five years combined experience in childrens games. RESPONSIBILITIES: This job requires the ability to roll up your sleeves in day-to-day production while maintaining a long vision for the direction of the product and the market. Driving the creative process Communicating and promoting project vision Write Functional Specifications Create and maintain development schedules Create and maintain budgets Obtain legal and editorial clearances Obtaining management approvals Define objectives and deliverables Identifying and contracting 3rd party talent Risk management Manage the flow of assets and information between teams and team members Create Quality Assurance Test Plans Manage the QA process Prepare presentation material and demos Prepare traffic and usage reports on an as-needed basis Coordinate contracts and contract amendments Coordinate payment of invoices for outside vendors QUALIFICATIONS: Previous senior-level Producer experience with game development/publisher required. Five + years experience in in PC or console game production and familiarity with product management tools; additional experience MMO development a plus. Must have a solid understanding of the Internet, the technologies employed and the tradeoff issues involved. Must have experience managing the QA process. A creative background is recommended, preferably in game design, and/or the entertainment industry. College degree or equivalent. Established communication, people, presentation and organizational skills. Understanding of Brand development very helpful. Must set and achieve the highest standards. Must be enthusiastic about Disneys franchises and the content that Disney can deliver over the Internet. Must be an enthusiastic game player. Must be deadline driven and detail-oriented a strategic critical thinker who also has a high attention to detail Must be able to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in fast-paced environment Must be a strong, clear communicator! The ability to communicate with multiple teams is required, including: marketing, engineering, creative, QA, and more. Must be able to draft excellent project briefs, content specifications, test plans, and process documents Self starter with high level of initiative Passionate, committed and high level of energy Strong sense of ownership and urgency Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines Strong verbal, written and presentation skills Ability to analyze and apply data to improve results Team player Excellent organizational skills SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED: Must be familiar with the technologies required for subscription-based and one-time purchase based Internet products. Must have a working knowledge of HTML, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop and FTP client software. Must be well versed in project management software including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word. Must have a solid technical background. Must be adept at technical problem solving and have experienced working with databases. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
