| subject: Senior Gameplay Programmer , Relic Entertainment Relic Entertainment is looking for Senior Gameplay Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Gameplay Programmer The Gameplay programmer works closely with the game design team to analyze and implement game elements. This person is expected to complete all assigned tasks on time and to specification. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create technical specifications for gameplay systems that meet the requirements of the game design and art teams. Take ownership of assigned tasks and be able to work with minimal supervision Interface with the game design team and incorporate feedback Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented code in adherence to internal standards Actively participate in team by making recommendations on how to improve product quality as well as group productivity Assist in other areas of game development as requested by the Lead Programmer REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Has previously held a programming position on at least one shipped console or PC title Education in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics and/or experience in computer graphics, animation, numerical methods, linear algebra, vision, and computational intelligence; degree required for foreign workers Strong understanding of C++ and STL Strong mathematics skills including trigonometry, calculus and linear algebra Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment Proven ability at successful multi tasking under considerable pressure An avid game player and strong interest in pushing the industry forward creatively Not essential but definite assets Experience developing AI systems such as state machines and pathfinding Experience with game scripting languages Experience with Windows development environment such as Microsoft Visual Studio Experience with source control software such as Perforce Basic knowledge of game content pipeline and tools such as Max, Maya and Photoshop Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Contact info: http://www.relic.com/careers/careers.php |
