| subject: Senior Game Programmer , Slipgate Ironworks Slipgate Ironworks is looking for Senior Game Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Game Programmer Senior Game Programmer Responsibilities: Work with the lead programmer and producer to create technical design documents and define your schedule Write, document and test code to implement the technical and game design Work with design and art teams to ensure that code addresses their technical needs Take responsibility for one or more major areas of the game or piece of technology Mentor junior or mid-level programmers as needed Review and critique code design and implementation from other programmers Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the software development process Qualifications: Excellent understanding of C/C++ Good understanding of OO design principles At least three years experience working with current generation online game technology (network programmer only) Must have shipped at least two game titles (or one game title if substantial experience in a related field) Experience in several programming environments and commercial applications associated with game development (MS Studio, Perforce, Word, Excel, Wiki, etc.) Communication skills and interest in working with our game developers in a cooperative team environment Commitment to code quality, documentation and sound testing procedures Interest in game development and game technology Excellent communication skills Self-motivated. Well-organized.
