| subject: Senior Audio Programmer , The Collective The Collective is looking for Senior Audio Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Audio Programmer Senior Audio Programmer Job Summary The ideal candidate would have experience working on game mechanics in one or more triple-A games, and have the ability to design, plan and program complex game components. This would include areas such as camera control, scripting systems, level-specific game mechanics, working with low-level graphics APIs to meet a particular end result, artificial intelligence, and any other game-centric features. The candidate must also exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of understanding towards game technology production and an adaptability to work directly with members of the design and art teams to achieve results that they are happy with. Job Responsibilities Programming of core audio technology, to required coding standards, on the latest console hardware Researching into the latest competing games, and assessing how to push the envelope and improve upon implementations. Working with Technology Programmers, Technical Directors, Development Directors, QA Testers and game project production staff Development of technical design specification, implementation and test plans Testing, debugging and revision of new or legacy engine systems Profiling, performance-analysis, performance tuning Providing mentorship to less senior programmers Contributing innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development Job Requirements Experience in the design and implementation of audio technology, in the context of a cutting edge 3D game Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering 5+ years experience in advance C++/OOP architecture design and implementation 2+ years experience in console programming Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices Excellent analytical and communication skills Self-motivated and passionate about video games Team player Skills C, C++, OOP Visual C++ or .NET Pluses X360 and/or PS3 audio experience Experience working with low-level console APIs Location: Newport Beach, ca, United States Contact info: 1900 Quail St. Newport Beach, CA 92660 http://www.F9E.com Phone: 949-255-1900 Fax: 949-724-9664 E-mail: kellyab@f9e.com |
