PlayFirst, Inc. is looking for QA Engineer duration - Full Time Job details: QA Engineer Duties and Responsibilities: Test PlayFirst games for usability, functionality, design, and compatibility flaws. Proactively work with other groups to ensure continuous QA progress on the project. Automate test cases where possible. Create project test plans. Identify, troubleshoot, and descriptively file bugs for assigned projects. Communicate clearly with producer and development staff (both internal and external) on issues related to currently assigned projects. Contribute to release documentation. Conduct functionality, performance, and load testing. Qualifications: 3+ years of QA experience; preferably within an interactive entertainment medium (PC/Mac, console, handheld, online, etc.). Game QA experience. Working knowledge of overall QA and software development process. Practical experience with a scripting or programming language. Experience creating and implementing automated test systems. Ability to develop test cases and test plans. Careful observer, patient, attentive to details, natural problem solver. Familiarity with bug tracking systems and processes. Ability to submit detailed bug reports, regress bugs, and verify bug fixes. Honesty, punctuality, and a high level of personal commitment to work and quality. Self-motivated team player. Desired Skills: Excellent working knowledge of the popular downloadable game space. Working knowledge of e-commerce web sites and their functionality. Enjoy playing games, with interests in many different genres of games.
