| subject: Network Software Engineer, Bond , Activision / Treyarch Activision / Treyarch is looking for Network Software Engineer, Bond duration - Full Time Job details: Network Software Engineer, Bond Description: The candidate filling this position will be responsible for introducing multiplayer functionality to an unannounced next-gen title. Responsibilities: Create and maintain the multiplayer component for our new title. Work with other programmers to interface with all project subsystems, including character control, AI, and physics. Work with external vendors to evaluate and develop solutions using their online service SDKs. Define programming policies and guidelines to aid other programmers in creating network-compatible software. Develop and maintain software to aid testing of networked games. Continue development of networking system to be compatible with all features of shared game framework, including abstracting online service user interface APIs. Qualifications - Prerequisite skills: Superior C++ proficiency. Superior communication skills. Experience in sensible API design. Extensive knowledge and experience with basic network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) Broad understanding of networking systems, including DNS, NAT, firewalls, methods of security, P2P and client server models. B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering major. Bonus skills: Two years of network programming experience.
