| subject: Network Programmer RTS , Mad Doc Software Mad Doc Software is looking for Network Programmer RTS duration - Full Time Job details: Network Programmer RTS We are looking for a veteran PC developer to join our team in breaking new ground in the Real-Time Strategy genre. Candidates should bring their enthusiasm and love of gaming, as well as their prior experience in the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and extend our existing network engine. Implement communication with 3rd party matchmaking system. Resolve out-of-sync issues that arise. REQUIREMENTS: Expert C++ Programmer. Experience with a lockstep network model. Networking experience with UDP protocol. Optimization experience, algorithmic, and covering both memory and speed. Successful candidate should have at leave one AAA game credit. Ability to work in a self-directed manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A passion for game development. Knowledge of NAT negotiation is a plus.
