| subject: Lead Programmer , The Collective The Collective is looking for Lead Programmer duration - Full Time Job details: Lead Programmer The ideal candidate would have experience working as a Lead Programmer on at least one previously shipped 3D Action\Adventure title, ideally on multiple platforms. Candidate should be experienced in working with a large cutting-edge engine technology code-base on at least one major console platform. The candidate must also exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of understanding towards game development and have experience growing and leading a team of programmers. Job Responsibilities Working with other departmental project leads in the design, planning and execution of AAA multi-platform video games, from concept to Gold Master. Developing an in-depth knowledge of the Slayer engine and technologies. Research and development on next-generation hardware. Participation and feedback on programmer phone and office interviews. Participation in press and marketing events, road-shows and exhibitions. Development of technical design specification, implementation and test plans. Contributing innovative ideas towards all aspects of game technology, production, and design. Working closely with central Tools and Technology group in order to clearly articulate the needs of project and assist in technical design planning. Providing accurate schedules and time estimates for work to be performed by yourself and team programmers. Management, direction and mentoring of team programmers. Meeting production schedules and deadlines. Job Requirements Knowledgeable in overall game development life-cycle, including significant milestone planning\execution and product submission processes. 2+ years experience and at least one product shipped in Lead Programmer role. 7+ years experience in advanced C++/OOP architecture design and implementation. 4+ years experience in console programming. Experience in leading team of programmers including hiring, reviewing and mentoring. Experience and high level of understanding in the field of game engine and tools architecture and good software engineering practices. Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering Excellent analytical and communication skills. Self-motivated and passionate about video games. Strong leader and mentor.
