| subject: Lead Engineer , Amaze Entertainment Amaze Entertainment is looking for Lead Engineer duration - Full Time Job details: Lead Engineer Amaze Entertainment is seeking an accomplished Lead Engineer to oversee a team of Programmers and to manage all aspects of game development technology on the project from pre-production (technical design doc) to final code archive. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented / collaborative approach to development, management experience, and significant experience working on shipped console or PSP projects. Responsibilities: Oversee the technology plan and team for a high-profile PSP game. Work with other leads on the project to determine coding tasks and schedule requirements. Manage the engineering team to meet those requirements. Collaborate with and maintain a positive working relationship with the publishers Tech Director. Review and approve all completed engineering tasks in collaboration with the Producer, Development Manager, Studio Technical Director, and other leads. Design and develop game systems that contribute to the studios core technology framework. Evaluate and mentor all programmers on the engineering team. Provide critical analysis of core technology and studio practices with the goal of improving game quality, team efficiency, and a positive studio culture. Serve as an active partner in the studios leadership. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in entertainment software; at least 3 years of experience in a lead role. Strong 3D programming skills and a proven aptitude for technical design. C/C++ proficiency. Experience in the design and implementation of game systems, including AI, camera, rendering, UI, FX and game object management. Must be comfortable working within (and adding to) an established code framework. Solid knowledge of 3D math, physics and rendering. Strong knowledge of Maya and Maya programming a plus. Team-oriented approach to development. Passion for video games and broad knowledge of titles and mechanics. Ability to provide reliable schedule estimates and manage the engineering team to hit dates. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
