| subject: Junior Software Engineer , Naval Postgraduate School Naval Postgraduate School is looking for Junior Software Engineer duration - Full Time Job details: Junior Software Engineer Delta3D is looking for software engineers to work on the leading military open source game engin. These positions involve both improving the engine and building applications using the engine. The successful candidate must be able to work on numerous on-going projects, be self reliant, dedicated and professional. Additionally, he/she must possess the ability to see a task through to completion, enjoy a sharp sense of pride in work, and be able to meet predefined standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in the development of core disciplines (gameplay, UI, AI, graphics or multiplayer). Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development. Create tools, features and engine components as directed with good coding standards. Provide documentation and support of implements features. Communicate closely with lead programmers regarding the status of assigned tasks as well as potential pitfalls in the fame design. Be proactive at fixing issues that are discovered. Provide in-house support for all aspects of the game and its tools. Willingness to assist in game development. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. C/C++ proficiency. Strong 3D skills & game programming experience. Must be comfortable working within an establighes code framework. Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices. Ability to follow specifications in design documents and produce code meeting them. Highly collaborative approach to development. Passion for video games. Ability to meet schedules.
