| Junior Programmer Salary: £17,000 - £23,000 Location: Stockport Company: CDL Date posted: 29 Jun 2005 We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious developer to join our Development division, currently delivering our dynamic new product, CDL Strata. Playing a pivotal role in the future of CDL, this position requires drive, determination and attention to detail to ensure CDL Strata is as successful as our existing products. Responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting programs, this varied role requires testing and quality assurance to ensure program functionality and application integration to exceed clients’ expectations and fulfil our high quality standards. Proactively resolving problems, this role requires a logical approach and the ability to give constructive feedback and advice to other team members. Educated to HND standard, (preferably with a relevant degree), the successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ work experience, with at least 1 year of that in a programming role. Experience of development in a Windows environment is essential as is an understanding of object orientated or event driven programming. It is also important to have good problem solving abilities and communicate clearly with internal clients and management. Ideally, candidates will have knowledge of developing within an n-tier environment; an understanding of UML, SQL and the whole development lifecycle.
