Salary: £20,000 - £30,000 per annum Location: Hampshire Company: Creative Personnel Date posted: 3 Aug 2005 A Thriving New Media Agency is in search of a Web Designer/Developer! Design, develop, maintain and implement Internet/Intranet Web Sites and web-based solutions. Work closely with all business units to help design and implement web-based solutions consistent in design, flow, functionality and branding. Utilize advanced technologies to improve existing sites as well as help develop an industry leading multi-media web presence. Execute creative design and guidelines as defined by the Design Team and Creative Director. Must deliver high quality work with aggressive time lines and within budget. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Design, develop, and deploy web pages adhering to standards. Develop wire frames, prototypes and page templates. * Document current sites and technology used, understand future user requirements, develop plans to integrate functions in different technologies and migration of “must have” features without adding additional costs. * Identify and implement graphic and layout standards for all client sites, including icons, navigation tools, design and layout. Optimize all graphics and creative elements. * Develop and manage style guides and style sheets for internal and external development. Ensure integrity of site design and styles, including the implementation of published standards. * Manage monitoring of all site statistics for usability. Provide guidance to clients regarding increasing usage and optimization based on analysis. * Create library of reusable components, functions, graphic files, and links. * Develop fully functional multi-media web sites and train end users on the use of content publish tools and techniques in order to keep Internet/Intranet sites up to date. Knowledge 1. Proficiency with JavaScript, CSS, HTML/XHTML, XML 2. Experience designing user interfaces for web applications 3. Proficiency with Macromedia Studio MX, which includes Dreamweaver, Flash, FireWorks. Also proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark Xpress. 4. Understanding of Internet Protocols. 5. Understanding of multi-media web tools and techniques. 6. Web Servers, Application Servers, Database modeling and design. 7. Also knowledge and experience of the .NET Framework with ASP, C#, and / or PHP is advantageous Skills 1. Requires ability to deliver high quality work in a fast paced environment. 2. The ability to multi task and develop on a variety of platforms and have strong working knowledge of use cases, user centered design principles, usability, ADA standards.
