The database developer will be responsible for creating new and improving existing applications in a high-load, high-availability environment. The ideal candidate would be experienced with multiple databases, and understands real-time high-performance database applications. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about their work, can take ownership over large areas of the product, and like the power and responsibility of contributing to a small team environment. Requirements Drive the overall architecture, implementation, and maintenance of the database schema Participate in/lead cross-disciplinary meetings and solve problems Thorough understanding of server architecture Experience in client, server, web and database programming technologies Understanding of, and experience with all aspects of database systems, proper normalized schema design, data access algorithms and methodologies. Knowledge of both proprietary databases such as SQL Server, and of open-source databases such as MySql. Passion for games. Pluses Knowledge of development environments such as Linux and Windows Knowledge of source code and asset control systems (CVS, SVN). Ability to research, analyze, and create technical design and implementation documents. B.S. or higher in computer science or equivalent Understanding of the development process and basic work flow of receiving tasks and communicating task status/completion. Knowledge of good development practices, works efficiently and independently. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
