| CLINICAL ANALYST REQUIRED Salary: Location: Birmingham Company: Perceptive Informatics Date posted: 15 Jul 2005 CLINICAL ANALYST REQUIRED Perceptive Informatics develops and offers a portfolio of sophisticated and innovative technology-based products and services that facilitate clinical drug development and are designed to decrease time to peak sales. The Company has approximately 300 employees in offices located throughout Europe and North America. Our Birmingham office is responsible for developing clinical trials management systems for the pharmaceutical industry using cutting edge technologies such as J2EE/Java etc. and currently has 3 mainstream products in this area: IMPACT is the world's most used enterprise wide CTMS, with over 14000 end users and with product modules for managing trial progress, planning, monitoring activities, supplies and finance. INITIATOR is specifically designed for Phase 1 unit management. INVESTIGATOR offers control of investigator information and allows selection of appropriate investigators and sites for a study. We are currently looking for a pharmaceutical professional to work within the Development & Support Team, providing a user perspective to our product developments. The role: * Responsible to a Project Leader for the progress and implementation of analysis to cost and timescales; * Utilise Unified Process and UML modelling techniques to clarify business and system requirements; * Produce prototype screen designs prior to development; * Present designs and solutions to other departments and customers; * Produce use cases suitable to pass to developers and testers; * Produce logical and physical data models; * Confirm solutions produced have met requirements; * Provide assistance to members of the Development & Support team; * Understand, adhere to and progress the CTMS SDLC The Candidate Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience of managing or co-ordinating clinical trials. Experience of working with a CTMS is essential, desirably IMPACT, but this is not essential as full training will be given. Whilst knowledge of, or experience with, the analyst?s tools and techniques would be advantageous, full training will be given to the right person. You will be a self-motivated team player who is flexible and adaptable to change. The ability to work to tight deadlines is essential.
